Mission Statement
We are a non-profit organization that provides services and aid to abandoned, abused, and neglected children in the Charleston area to specifically intervene where Government aid ends.
About Us
Lowcountry Orphan Relief, Inc. (LOR) is a non-profit organization that provides services to children where social and government services leave off. We work directly with other non-profits and government agencies to identify the individual needs of these neglected children.
LOR intervenes at critical junctures with products and services that provide maximum positive impact including: providing clothes, toiletries, and school supplies for the immediate needs of children entering the system; creating libraries and recreation rooms at emergency children's shelters.

Our Vision
Abandoned |
Abused |
- To ensure that abused, abandoned or neglected children coming into the system within 48 hours will have in their possession clothes, toiletries, and school supplies.
- To own and maintain a facility that is staffed and supplied with essential items for abused, abandoned and/or neglected children.
- To organize fundraisers, raise money and secure in-kind donations.
- To create fun events for these children where they will be enriched, nurtured and loved.
- To build new single-gender emergency shelters and home for girls, and to assist in updating existing shelters by creating on-site libraries and recreational facilities.
