    Vision for the Future

You know that my vision for LOR’s future and my great passion is to build a girls’ “Home”.  This would be home full of love and Christian values, a home with role models who will teach learning skills and how to prepare for womanhood.  It will not be a shelter, nor a place with a swinging door.  It will have permanency, strength, and love.

Three and one-half acres of land on Johns Island have been donated to us and we are going to call this beautiful place “River Oaks”.

Join with me in whatever way you can.  A family, group, church, business, etc. could, for instance, donate funds to furnish and decorate a room with the name of their group over the door. Each of these girls could then see who cares about and loves them.  Volunteers can come in to donate their time in teaching life skills that these girls will need to grow into productive, happy adults.

The women and men of this city can do this.  If you will join me in bringing to this city- not a temporary place- but a real family home, you will have passed on the great things you have been given, and the name of you, your children, or your business will be imprinted on these girls hearts as they pass through to womanhood at RIVER OAKS.

I am so excited and write this now to pray about, and would love your input and ideas. You can reach us at exploratorystage@hotmail.com or call Alexis Strobel at 843-906-7593. If you would like to donate by credit card, go to the Donations Page on this website. Make sure you designate your gift to River Oaks Girl’s Home. Or you may send a check to: River Oaks, c/o Beth Colley, 780 Post Oak Dr., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.

It will take each of us to make this dream come true and I hope that you will help me in this endeavor.

Thank you for joining us as we come alongside children in need of a forever home. May God guide each of us toward that end. Blessings to you and yours!
